Weekly Blog - Observation
Last weekend my brother came home from Montreal, where he's studying in school, to celebrate his 21st birthday. On the Sunday some of his friends came over for cake and so did many people from my extended family. One of my cousins brought his little son, named Matteo, who is 6-months-old now. He is the cutest little boy and of course everyone is holding him and making faces at him trying to make him laugh. So he was somewhat of the center of attention for a little while. But when I walked in to my living room and saw most of my family there laughing together, celebrating my brothers birthday and hovering over this little boy who joined our family not too long ago, it made me appreciate what I really have. I have loving family and friends who get along most of the time and this was one of those times where you just have to take a moment, step back, and take it all in. This is a memory that will last forever.
